Hello all and greetings from Trailer Trash Theatre and the cast and crew of Foreskins Lament!!
We are very excited about coming up to the Pleasance, Edinburgh this year after three sell out shows at the Hackney Empire! And we're going back to Hackney Empire for three weeks in November (5th - 22nd)!!
Just in case you dont know about us, we are a London based theatre company celebrating and promoting diversity in theatre and this is our first year as a fully fledged company at the Edinburgh Festival!
Our show 'Foreskin's Lament' by Greg McGee is an incredibly famous and important New Zealand play due to its raw text and open exposure of the rugby world. When McGee wrote this play (its set in 1976) it was a major breakthrough piece for him as he dared to tackle issues that had not been aired in this graphic light before, such as homophobia and sexism, issues that although we have moved on a lot, we still deal with today.
The play itself is great! Very funny from the outset and full of lively banter and perfect for an Edinburgh festival audience!! So come and see us! We're at BabyGrand at 12.50pm and we are on everyday from the 3rd -25th apart from the 17th.
See you soon!!
Lindsey xx
